Healing After the Storm

Pro Bono Virtual Coaching for Flood Survivors & First Responders in Texas & New Mexico

From Inner-Naturalist | With Lari Jo, ICF-Certified Coach

When the Waters Recede, the Grief Remains

The recent devastating floods in Texas and New Mexico have left deep scars—both visible and invisible.

Whether you lost your home, responded on the front lines, or are quietly holding it together for your family—the emotional weight of disaster is real.

You don’t have to carry it alone.

At Inner-Naturalist, I’m offering free, trauma-informed virtual coaching sessions to those affected—both survivors and first responders.

Why Reach Out?

Research shows that emotional support in the first 3 months after a natural disaster significantly lowers the risk of long-term PTSD, depression, and anxiety.

Survivors of floods are up to 5x more likely to experience mental health challenges.

Virtual coaching is:

Accessible from anywhere, even if you're displaced.

Confidential, non-judgmental, and gently paced.

Grounded in nature-based healing, Gestalt practices, and deep listening.

What I Offer

I combine professional coaching with grounded, nature-connected care.

ICF-Certified Coaching

You’ll be supported by a trained and credentialed coach (International Coaching Federation). My coaching honors your autonomy, resilience, and inner wisdom—especially in times of deep disruption.

Nature-Based Resources

Nature offers powerful metaphors and medicine. Even if you can’t step outside, we’ll use grounding imagery, breath-work, and nature-anchored prompts to help your nervous system stabilize.

Gestalt Approach

This trauma-informed style focuses on your present moment experience—what’s happening in your body, thoughts, and emotions right now. We won’t fix or rush grief; we’ll witness, feel, and integrate it.

Grief & Trauma-Sensitive Space

Loss comes in many forms—lives, homes, safety, routines. I hold space for sorrow, anger, numbness, confusion… all of it. There is no “right way” to grieve, only your way.

Who This Is For

Survivors of the floods navigating grief, fear, overwhelm, and loss of stability

First responders experiencing secondary trauma, burnout, or emotional exhaustion

Loved ones and caregivers supporting others but needing support themselves
